Around 180 dairy farmers and service providers gathered for the 2022 DairySA Innovation Day at The Barn in Mt Gambier in early June.

The event, hosted by DairySA, was a great opportunity for participants to hear the latest information on research and innovation.

Dairysafe attended as a sponsor and to promote the benefits of the new Farm Business Continuity Tool (Farm BCT). The event was also a great engagement opportunity for our team to continue growing relationships with our farming community.

Our team found the event an excellent chance to touch base with farmers and to show them how easy it is to use the Farm BCT and discuss the benefits.

The event featured Dairy Australia chair James Mann, who provided a snapshot of current Dairy Australia activities and commitments and how they translate at the farm gate.

There were also a number of speakers covering the latest in herd genetics, cow health, technologies in pasture cultivar and farm business planning as well as an update from SADA.

DairySA was thrilled with the success of the event and the important outcomes it delivered. “It was wonderful to be back in the same room as each other after a two-year COVID hiatus,” said Andrew Cavill, DairySA Chairman.
