We’d like to extend a warm welcome to Ryan Turner, Dairysafe’s new Food Standards Officer. Ryan is responsible for a range of activities – you’ll see him on farm and at processors’ facilities, auditing, responding to incidents and assisting our stakeholders in understanding and complying with national food standards.
Ryan holds a Diploma in Quality Management and Assurance and also a Diploma in Food Science and Technology.
After gaining certification as a Meat Inspector and completing formal training in Meat Safety and HACCP Ryan became heavily involved in Quality Assurance practices, assisting in the maintenance and monitoring of Food Safety Programs across several production sites.
Ryan has previously worked in a variety of food processing industry roles across different food sectors including meat and poultry, seafood and dairy.
He has worked in both the private and public sectors, developing a broad skillset which will benefit him in his role at Dairysafe.
Ryan joins the small technical team led by Craig Heard. He’s looking forward to meeting with our accredited dairy businesses, improving his knowledge of the sector, delivering value and establishing strong relationships.
