Dairysafe’s commitment to South Australian dairy exporters extends beyond food safety audits.

We work collaboratively with export businesses, providing an export audit and support service, which involves working to ensure expectations are clearly defined to minimise rework and facilitate the approval of changes to Approved Arrangements by the Commonwealth Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF).

When a business notifies us of significant changes to processes, plant, equipment or the Approved Arrangement, we ensure that all inputs are considered and a thorough hazard analysis is completed and suitable controls are implemented by the business.

The approval process requires all relevant HACCP documentation, commissioning data, verification, validation, monitoring and evidence of training to be submitted and reviewed.

These activities provide the necessary support to DAFF so they can consider each variation as they come about. Our team works hand-in-hand with our DAFF colleagues to ensure this is as seamless and efficient as possible.

“The aim of this work is to ensure continued confidence in food safety controls and product integrity. Dairysafe support DAFF to reduce the time for exporters to have variations approved so that they can get on with business,” said Geoff Raven, CEO of Dairysafe.
