The Dairysafe Board and CEO has conducted a comprehensive review of the Primary Produce (Food Safety Schemes) (Dairy) Regulations 2017 to enhance South Australia’s dairy food safety scheme.

Recommendations involve clarity of interpretations, minimising loopholes and ensuring efficient cost recovery and proportionate compliance outcomes.

These recommendations have occurred because of changed industry practices and new product variants and technologies and are aimed at optimising governance and compliance.

This work emphasises the need for Dairysafe to take a proactive approach to the legislative framework it is operating within, to ensure modernisation of practices and expectations of the industry.
