The Dairy Authority of SA is established under the Primary Produce (Dairy) Regulations 2017 and reports to the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Fisheries. The Authority administers the dairy industry food safety scheme.
Nominations are currently being sought for Authority members for a term of three years beginning 1 July 2018.
Three members will be appointed, at least one of which must have wide-ranging experience in the dairy industry. One of the positions will be as Presiding Member. Positions are remunerated. Existing Authority members may reapply.
