The next Dairysafe Industry Forum will be held at the Dairysafe office on Friday 25 August 2023. The theme for the Forum is ‘Managing Allergens’.

This Forum is a face-to-face opportunity to network and hear from our SA Health colleagues on these matters and learn from their knowledge and experiences.

“Allergen management is so important in preventing and mitigating the risk of allergen presence or cross-contamination, as well as the risk of the presence of undeclared allergens in a final product,” Geoff Raven, CEO of Dairysafe said.

“Undeclared allergens are a risk to your consumers’ health, your brand, and your bottom line.”

Allergen management represents the procedures, policies, and practices contributing to the control of allergens within a food business. It is a component of existing food safety management plans and processes, such as GMP controls.

“At the forum our experts will talk on the risk of notifiable contaminants, and what to do when testing finds a contaminant in your product,” Geoff said.

This will be Industry Forum #5. Invitations have been sent to all SA dairy processors.

“We’re looking forward to good numbers in the Training Room, insightful presentations, and a valuable networking opportunity,” Geoff said.
