A major Dairysafe project this year has been the development of the ‘Guidelines for the safe manufacture of dairy products’.
The project has delivered a comprehensive Guidelines document, which will benefit the processing sector for many years to come.
Soon we will be running industry workshops on the draft Guidelines, then printing and distributing the finalised Guidelines.
The workshops will focus on the critical aspects of the guideline document: hazards and risks, dairy microbiology, process control in manufacturing, cleaning, GMPs and risk assessment.
Every dairy processor in South Australia will be invited to the workshops and will also receive a copy of the Guidelines.
The Guidelines have been well received by industry and regulators in other jurisdictions. We appreciate the support provided by industry and regulators in the development of this important document.
