Midfield Group founder and managing director Colin McKenna has been honoured for his service to the meat industry. Colin passed away in October 2024 following a short illness.

Colin started as a shearer and then a stock agent, before founding one of the most efficient beef and sheep meat processing plants in Australia, with significant pastoral holdings and a dairy processing division.

Colin’s family is celebrating his memory by making a positive impact in the community. They have set up a GoFundMe campaign in Colin’s name and funds raised will go towards a soon to be established foundation dedicated to supporting Brain Tumour Research, Epilepsy awareness and Laser Interstitial Thermal Therapy (LITT) by Colin’s Neurosurgeon Matthew Gutman.

“Your donation, no matter how small, will directly support vital research and initiatives that can improve the lives of countless individuals and families facing these challenges,” the family said.

“Together, we can continue Colin’s legacy of selflessness and support for our community.”

Colin McKenna.
