Dairysafe has welcomed four new team members, expanding its technical, regulatory and administrative capability as it continues to support South Australia’s dairy industry and protect public health.
Board Chair Roseanne Healy said the appointments reflect the organisation’s commitment to strengthening its regulatory role under the leadership of CEO Mel Jackson.
“These new team members bring deep experience, fresh perspectives and a shared commitment to safeguarding the integrity of South Australia’s dairy sector,” Roseanne said.
“Their expertise will further elevate Dairysafe’s ability to deliver strong regulation, clear communication and a supportive, partnership-based approach with farmers and processors.”
Technical Manager: Tina Hutchinson
With more than a decade of experience in quality assurance, governance and compliance, Tina steps into the role of Technical Manager to lead Dairysafe’s operational and audit functions. She previously served as QA Manager at Fleurieu Milk Company and founded Technical Organisation Management, supporting clients including Food South Australia.
Food Standards Officer: Paul Fowler
Paul joins Dairysafe with extensive experience in quality assurance and organic certification, most recently as Certification Manager at NASAA Certified Organic. His strong working knowledge of HACCP, ISO 9001 and organic frameworks will strengthen Dairysafe’s focus on harmonised audit systems and regulatory assurance.
Executive Assistant: Jo Bainbridge
With more than 30 years of client-facing and administrative experience, Jo brings exceptional governance capability, data integrity skills and stakeholder liaison expertise. Her previous work includes seven years of managing the Vineyard Register at Vinehealth Australia. She will provide high-level support to the CEO and Board.
Building capability across the organisation
Under CEO Mel Jackson, Dairysafe’s structure now comprises:
Strategy and Governance – led by the CEO and supported by Executive Assistant Jo Bainbridge, with oversight from the Dairysafe Board. This function drives governance, legislation stewardship, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
Operations and Compliance – led by Technical Manager Tina Hutchinson, supported by Food Standards Officers Paul Fowler and Ryan Turner. This team delivers regulatory assurance, audit consistency, and support for dairy farmers and processors.
“Dairysafe now has the capability, structure and leadership required to meet the increasing demands of dairy regulation,” Roseanne said.
